For a leading bank in Belgium, I am part of a technical team responsible for supporting Sophis Risque. That application provides cross asset Front-to-Back portfolio and risk management Solutions for the Financial Services. In the team, they are diverse cultural background, constantly learning to anticipate the fast evolutions of the complex financial instruments. Within the team I contribute to ensure application stability and availability for customers located in Europe, America and Asia. I make sure that each reported incident and problem are resolved in a timely manner (per SLA). I participate in project team activities prior to release and contribute to documentation requirements as appropriate. Finally I work with other members of the Support team, Development, Technology Office, application support and customer groups.
That challenging position meets my expectations even beyond that I though.

Project and role today in one of the largest bank in Belgium.

I am currently working for the Performance Consolidation Accounting for the Global Market department as consultant.
My role is to develop tools, elaborate and maintain test databases that take part or support operations for
the reporting of the market room and different parts of the institution.
Tasks include among others developing in MS Access environment, mostly in VBA and SQL,
interfaced with other libraries or applications to perform reports, calculations. Those applications are used either
for validating changes on the operational side, or to perform the calculations that will produce the reports
used for decision making by the relevant parties.
Within the team, I can enhance my knowledge of the financial world together with practicing and fine-tuning
experience of VBA coding and the interaction with data and systems used by other users.

My feeling at Experteam is

1- being in a company that has a close relationship with the department where I work,
2- the knowledge by both parties that I can be an element of contribution of the workload,
3- bringing a piece of work through my knowledge,
4- time and skills to overcome planned and arising difficulties and make the success happen
in the sometime fast changing world of requirements for technologies used within a department or in the bank itself.
